Happy Fourth from Eli and his family! We were in Houston last summer, so we were excited to get back to our tradition of hanging with our Church family, picnicking, and watching fireworks from the parking lot at the building today. We also checked off a couple of bucket list things, one of which was
Caleb's item, to make a cake (cupcakes), so we did that for the gathering, and we finally went to see Finding Dory. And, (on Saturday), we did more dog hunting, visiting some shelters, but did not find anything that we all agreed on, or that fit us. I also spent a very short time in the ER as part of our fourth celebration tonight after cutting my finger while helping to prepare food at the church building. Ouch! Another finger issue! It was deep, but a clean slice, and the flap of skin still attached, so she glued it down and gave me a tetanus shot. Exciting day! Eli is doing well, as far as we can tell. No noticeable changes with him, still enjoying the highest level of quality of life, and honestly, higher than would be expected, I would think. God bless each one of you for your work in fighting for Eli.
