The boys playing outside.
We are still enjoying our news! As usual it is crazy around here. In addition to still living in mess from the pipe bursting in January, we are just dumping mess on top of mess with all of our comings and goings. I'm trying to keep up my participation with the other kids in their activities, taking on Hg’s girl scout troop and I decided to try to run in the St. Jude half marathon in December again. Not being a natural runner, I worked most of the year last year toward it and it wasn’t pretty. Eli’s diagnosis for relapse was the day before the race, so I came home and didn’t get to run in it (it was canceled due to an ice storm, but I had already had to throw in the towel, so I don’t consider the cancellation). I was so glad when the race wasn’t hanging over me, but now I need a positive distraction and a goal. So, I plan to try to do it this year. I have no idea what this year will hold, so if I have to bow out, I will, then I will try again. I do not plan on doing any big fundraisers per se. If you would like to join our team, search FB for North Alabama St. Jude Foot Soldiers. Registration hasn’t opened up yet, but I’ve already got a hotel room with a cancellation option for December 5, for the race the next day. If you don’t want to do a half, there is a 5k and a family run. So, keep that in mind, especially if you are
Caleb quarantine
going to want a room b/c they will disappear. So, now the race is back on my back. I am trying to find regular times to exercise and nothing definitely gets done. Eli went to the tutor today, and we hope to start him back to school when it warms up. Caleb came down with a virus Sunday, so he and Vic have been quarantined over at my mom's house since then. Caleb was still running a fever today, so don't know when I will see him again (barely saw him when we got home Saturday), b/c I'm sure Vic will get it. Abbey keeps getting up tonight complaining about her head hurting and her tummy being "uncomfortable", and Hg asked for some allergy meds because her nose wouldn’t stop. I am having a empathetic sore throat just thinking about us all coming down with something. Neither girls have a temp right now, so I'm watching and waiting for that cuz I know it’s coming. So, Eli is the only one with no symptoms at this point. Go figure. And, we need it to stay that way, his counts will continue to drop to a low point over the weekend, so I don't know what they will do if he starts running a fever. They might admit him or something, I have no idea. We have had such an easy road comparably. He has never been virus sick during treatment, not during his first rodeo nor yet this one, so I don't know what happens. But, if he runs a fever, they don't mess with it in case of infection. So,
Eli got this for a sick Caleb. Nice to be giving instead of
receiving... not sure Eli totally agreed.
the next few days may get even more fun for the Williamses. I wondered earlier why we were not being pursued for a reality TV show or something. We don’t need +8 or Kate.
