Update (this is from about 3 weeks ago): With a heavy heart for the Baugher family ... Eli has had a good day. He has not thrown up any today, but would not eat at all ... until tonight. He ate very well for him as of late. They had given him a medicine to sort of activate his appetite and Vic had stopped giving it to him b/c he said he didn't think it helped. But, I started him back on it, and maybe it was a coincidence, but he ...ate very well after that. I had a breakfast shake that I made at lunch that I just made him take one sip of about every 15 minutes until tonight when he said he wanted noodles, and he has had a gatorade that he nursed this morning and through an IMAX movie we went to. We had two movies on our docket for today, but the early one he just wasn't able to be up and moving around, so we hung out a little until he was ready and were able to hit the IMAX movie Tornado Alley with a special appearance by Sean Casey, the film's director who was also on Storm Chasers as he was filming the IMAX movie. Eli had his picture made with Sean, and with the TIV, and we got his autograph on a shirt for Eli. But, Eli could not have cared less about any of that. He loved the movie, did't get who Sean was, didn't care, only wanted to show me a truck inside the museum then get back to the Target House. Much like the night before when the Detroit Pistons were here, but to his defense I was pretty lost, too, and didn't know who any of them were. Or when the girl off Disney's Choo-Choo Soul was performing, he only wanted to leave. I was so excited, but he didn't care. Said it was too loud. But, without radiaton today or tomorrow he should have pretty good days. He played on the playground for a good while tonight so I think that helped his appetite as well. This is a hard place to be because of why you are here and you look around at everyone else and know why they are here, too. No one is here for the fun of it, this is not a vacation. I was told tonight that there have been three deaths in the last week at the Target house, which is where we live. That would be, yes, children's deaths. The picture tonight is of Eli with the Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV II) used to make the Tornado Alley film and used in Storm Chasers the TV show. I did not have the guts to ask him about Reed.
